The brothers Jacob and Wilhelm, together known as the Grimm brothers, were two German academics, philologists, cultural researchers, and authors who working together dedicated themselves to collecting and publishing folklore all through the 19th century. Their first book of fairytales that was published back in 1812 included about 200 fairy tales making those brothers one of the most famous storytellers of folk tales, which made stories like Cinderella, The Frog Prince, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White to be well-known all around the world. Even though it is known that those tales are collected, there are numerous discussions about the ideology behind those tales sometimes being criticized for the certain note of violence and crudity that appears in some of the stories while others debate about the possibility of including real situations when the brothers were editing those stories.
